I’m an independent policy researcher who investigates reforms that foster inclusive representation and effective government.

My research interests include democracy, electoral systems, party systems, state and local elections, electoral reform, competitiveness of elections, and voter turnout.

I have a B.A. in political science and a master’s education in public administration from the University of Oregon, plus a paralegal certificate from Blackstone Career Institute.

Originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan, I moved to Eugene, Oregon in 1990.
